I’ve been journaling on and off for years, but there were times when I didn’t know how to begin or felt like I was just repeating myself.

That struggle led me to create Pocketbook Prompts—a daily journaling newsletter.

Each day, I share a thoughtful prompt, often inspired by the books I’m reading, to help others bring fresh inspiration to their journaling.


Why participate?

In the worst-case scenario, you'll dedicate a morning to writing. In the best-case scenario, you could shake some ideas loose, heal parts from your past, gain insights into yourself, and profoundly alter your life's course.

Why me?

For the last decade, I’ve worked in tech marketing and had a chance to work with tons of talented writers but never got the chance to write myself.

That's why I started Pocketbook Prompts—to delve deeper into my own writing journey. And while I'm the one crafting the prompts, I'll be journaling every morning alongside you.

How to set yourself up for success

  • Get a journal that’s solely for these prompts. I recommend Moleskin.

  • Block out a 30-minute window during the day for you to journal.

  • Before you start writing, take a moment to get into the right mindset. Think of this as a gift to yourself—something to look forward to!

  • Aim for at least 15-20 minutes of writing and write until it feels “complete.” (You’ll know).
